The Museum of Science is pleased to host Boston's World Usability Day event on Thursday, November 13 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The day will showcase accomplishments by engineers and designers who are working to develop everyday objects, websites, and buildings that are more intuitive and user-friendly. This is the Museum's third year hosting the event, and we are excited to bring opportunities to explore the world of usability design to our visitors and to reflect upon the differences good design can make in everyone's lives.
The Museum of Science, Boston has long been an advocate of usability engineering and user centered design. A leader in accessibility, Museum exhibit designers and educators have built universal design features into permanent and traveling exhibits and programs. Since 1987, the MOS has embraced universal design so that our products can be used and enjoyed by all people to the greatest extent possible. The institution also has a strong commitment to fostering lifelong learning about technology and engineering through its National Center for Technological Literacy. In doing so, the Museum hopes to inspire children, educators, and the public to learn how things work-and can work better.
We hope you can join us for World Usability Day in Boston!
